Fly Fish Radio
My brother stumbled across the Fly Fish Radio site a little while ago. This is an Internet radio station run by Wylie Thomas (a fellow geek) and George Overton (graphic designer) from Utah. The podcast has a university radio station feel about it, which I personally find appealing. I have an aversion to popular media as a general rule, and find the relatively relaxed nature of this production refreshing.
The content comprises of stream reports (for the Utah/Oregan region), interviews with personalities including Norm Albiston (fly fishing and fly tying instructor at University of Utah), Glenn Bracket (split cane rod building guru), Jack Dennis (fly tying deity) and Lance Egan (US fly fishing team) as well as fly of the week
Despite being based in the North, it makes good listening. The technique tips are applicable globally, and I thoroughly enjoyed the interview with Glenn Bracket . All in all it is a nice way to break up the day in the office, and well worth a look.
